I'm sorry I haven't been much of a blog friend - but, like I said, I was moving houses while OWOH was taking place, so, unfortunately, I had very little time to play with everyone! I do promise to go visit all of the wonderful people who commented, one by one, as soon as my moving-odissey is over...

So it's here!! *** One World One Heart 2010 ***

And I finally get to be a part of it, after reading about it in a zillion other blogs and wishing I could be there too (I'm a party girl - always was, always will be! So now that I have no social life outside the house and neighborhood - being a mother of 3 year old twins does that to a person... - imagine my joy when I discovered blog events!!! And all these thousands of wonderful creative people out there... I can maybe get my boho artist life back slowly, who knows?! ;-)).

And so here I am, posting about this heartful, artistic, magical Blog Event where bloggers all over the world get to meet and make new friends!!

And I get to give away not 1 but 2 pretty things to my new blog friends who will kindly leave me a comment... (I won't make you write in portuguese or anything ;-)) Just leave a comment and make sure I can link back to you or leave me your email address, so I can contact you in case you win. I am in the process of moving houses - from an old rented charming-but-falling-apart-collapsing-ceiling-1890-apartment-building-in-the-center-of-beautifully-lit-Lisbon-city to an also-very-old-18somethings..-but-oh, Joy!-recovered-from-head-to-toe-our-to-keep-one - so please bear (?), bare - I'm an emigré, pay no attention to spelling and such - with me...

It's a necklace with a handmade by me flower- thingy attached to it.

You can dress it up with a pretty blouse/ dress or down with a tank top and jeans and it still looks cool!

The outside of the flower thingy is light clue velvet and the inner part is portuguese lace.

The ochre bow is also velvet.

This is number 2... A headband with a lace and velvet flower on it's side.

❤ ENGLISH: 2 mixed media ATC's I did for a swap with Mary Z. from Willowing's ATC Swap. I wish I had time to do more!! They're so much fun to make! Mary was a sweetheart and waited for mine - I took ages to get them finished because of crazy baby-twins-husband-try-to-make-some-art-in-the-middle-life... Anyway, off they went on their way...

My baby's first crush!***

We had a baby-friendly pool-party this weekend and the whole family was invited, so we took the babies... And T. fell in love with this magical doll...

He followed her around the whole party and kept on showing her his little magic world... He showed her the stars, the smoke (there was stage smoke involved, it being a massive party with concerts and fireworks and the whole shebang!), the colors in the laser lights, the feathers that fell from her pink hair and that he picked up off the floor...

My baby was falling in Baby-Love!! And I got to watch the Magic happen... And I melted inside watching him follow her around and showing her the stars. He's never like this - he's usually very kept to himself and minding his own baby-business. But he won't stop talking about her...

Now he says he's going to buy a horse so he can go get her and bring her back with him.

And so I got my baby's crush's mobile number (thank God for modern Dolls :-)!) and called her to cast her in the children's play we're doing in October... It's about fairies and magic and I think she's perfect!

Plus, that way T. can see his lovey again!

Ok, so it's finally saturday (at least here in Europe it is!). It's that time before sunrise where fairies come secretly out to play***

And they wanted to join in on the fun from the Lollyshop's opening event - the All Dolled Up Party hosted by Itty Bitty Birdy...

So, here they are! I caught a glimpse at the fairy magic right when they were dressing up in their pretty colors for the party***

They invited me to join them, as long as I kept it a secret... fairies honor!

So, shhh! Be very quiet and join the fairy party before they disappear into the day light...

You never know when you'll see a fairy again...

Dinner at Marta Fontes

I went out to dinner (Yay!!!) at Marta Fontes' house... It was lots of fun - we were a bunch of girls from Casa Décor and had a very "girly night out...

It's a very "vintage meets cabaret" style with loads of feathers and old garments and clothes that come straight from the 20's.

Here are some of her beautiful necklaces. She doesn't have a blog yet (I'm convincing her to create one, but no luck yet...) so I can't link back to her... But here are some pics, anyway.

I made this Marie Antoniette brooch for the party at Cupid's Charm, but of course I'm like that guest who arrives when the party was 2 days ago ;-)... I didn't make it in time for the party, but better late than never, right?

It's not very easy to be on time with 2 babies constantly waking up in the middle of the night - that's when I tend to get most work done, 'coz usually the house is quiet and no one wants a breast or bottle (not even hubby :-))

But Xmas fairs were frantic and crazy rush, rush, and now babies want mommy all the time at night... So what's a girl to do? She has to miss some parties here and there, unfortunately...

I hope there will be more, 'coz they all sound like so much fun, and I miss socializing after 2 very intense years of motherhood and reinventing myself into this new person of 4 (babies, hubby and I).

And truth is, I am new at this creative blogging thing but I'm kind of getting hooked - I LOVE, LOVE all the beautiful blogs I stumble upon by accident with all these wonderful women who inspire me deeply and warm my heart and who I've never met, but really hope to one day...

That's actually a New Year Goal - get a big, nice house in the country side so I can make them all fly from America for a creative crafting weekend in Portugal! (No babies in the middle of the night then, I promise)

That said, I think that's the longest post I've ever written here in blog land! Wow! I might just get used to this and maybe make it to some parties, after all!

Sandy's 40th Birthday!

What a busy weekend! Between all the preparations for Casa Décor - a decorating exhibition that goes on for one month in Lisbon - Sandy (who's also participating in Casa Décor) celebrated her 40th Birthday at her boutique La Brocante...

We had a great time (Jed and I) and had a great laugh, too! Even a small little black pig came to wish her a Happy Birthday!! It was hilarious!

And Sandy was at her best: she was offered some lingerie and decided to try it out then and there... with a lion's head to match! There's something about women and their 40th Birthday that just seems to awaken the animal inside :-)...
